Susie Bishop

Susie Bishop is a prominent vocalist and multi-instrumentalist in the Sydney music scene. Extensively educated, she holds an MMus at the Royal Northern College of Music in opera and a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Drama in addition to her rigorous classical training on violin. Her interests and skills in performance are wide-ranging, and she regularly performs and tours with some of Sydney’s highest profile ensembles as both violinist and singer.

Susie’s main projects are Laura & Susie: a singer-songwriting duo with her sister, Chaika: a Balkan, world, jazz fusion ensemble, and Tangalo: Sydney’s premier Argentine Tango Quintet.

Her other collaborations include guest performances as violinist and vocalist with multi-ARIA award winning ensemble Monsieur Camembert, guest vocalist with The Song Company, Soloist with the Marais Ensemble (voice) and Elysian Fields (voice and violin). She is also violinist and vocalist with “Dave Calandra and the Min Min Lights”, and violinist with Hinterlandt ensemble who performed at the 2017 MONA FOMA festival in Hobart debuting their newest release “Ode to Doubt”

On Sundays, you can also find her moonlighting in the Mercantile Hotel in the rocks, playing some raucous Irish pub classics. If you do, be sure to order a pint and give a good heckle
