We’ve encountered a whole host of interesting pronunciations of our Slavic name (Shaker, Chakra, Shakira, etc!), so for those of you who need to say our name please note the correct pronunciation is “chai” as in the spicy tea, “ka” as in ‘car’; ie. /‘tʃaɪ.kaː/ with emphasis on the first syllable. It means Seagull.
Our second album takes the Italian title of one of our songs, “I Monti”, which is pronounced “ee mon-tee”.
